Group Announcements Students Artwork Displayed at KLCKayle Gonzales, Carlos Sanchez, and Maria Manzanares all had artwork displayed during the first semester at the Kelly Leadership Center. They have been awarded a certificate of commendation by the supervisor of the arts Joyce Zsembery. Congratulations to those students and their families, their artwork will be displayed again at the Spring Arts Festival at Hylton High School on March 24th.

Art Club applications are available to all students in grades 2-5. On the week of October 24 all of the applications will be reviewed by a group of Vaughan Staff, we will select 20 students from the 100+ applications received. No student is in Art Club simply by filling out the application. Students whose applications have been selected will receive a permission slip to be signed and returned before attending the first Art Club meeting, which will occur in November. Art Club CelebrationParents-
Our end of the year celebration will be held during the school day, immediately following field day activities on June 15th. Students will meet in the Art Room for food and awards at 2pm. Thanks -Mr. Fennell Art Club cancelled until testing endsArt Club will be cancelled until further notice, due to the Art Room being used for SOL testing. The room will remain a testing area until at least June 8th. Our final Art Club will be a celebration!!! It will include food, awards and prizes. A date for this celebration will be coming to you soon
Thank you – Mr. Fennell Art Festival WinnersThank you to everyone who came out to Battlefield High School for the Spring Arts Festival. Especially the parents who made the LONG drive! I have been told by the county that over 5000 people attended the festival.

We will have our first meeting before we break for Thanksgiving and Art Club will run until SOL testing in the Spring. Meetings will continue to be on Wednesday mornings at 8 am. Thanks -Mr. Fennell ![]() Cave Painting![]() Cave PaintingsStudents Created Cave Paintings, just like those found in France! Students emulated supplies used by ancient people to create their cave art, such as charcoal(ash from Fire), White chalk and paint(Bat Guano), Red and brown paint(animal blood).

Art Club will meet on the morning of December 23 at 8am. Students will be dismissed from school 2 hours early on the 23rd to begin holiday break.
